About me

My name is Victor, and I'm a software engineer from Chihuahua, Mexico. I'm passionate about building software that helps people and makes their lives easier. I have a strong background in programming and a deep understanding of software engineering principles. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow as a developer.

My Journey

I started coding when I was in middle school. I was amazed by Apple's Swift Playgrounds app and its promise to teach anyone how to code. When I entered high school, I started learning JavaScript and building my first web applications with React. My best friend and I started our journey as full-stack developers together.

Most of my programming knowledge is self-taught, with the help of courses, articles, and documentation. I learned by doing; I would find a small problem and try to solve it with code. In university, I deepened my programming knowledge and learned about software engineering and project management.

I've worked on several projects, both individually and as part of a team, where I have had the opportunity to learn and apply different technologies. I have experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum.

Hobbies

I really like listening to and playing music. I've been playing guitar since I was 13 and have participated in different musical groups with various musical styles. I have played in theaters, events, and malls.

I am into watching movies and series. You could say that I'm a big Star Wars fan. I also enjoy playing video games, especially strategy and role-playing ones.

I always look forward to hanging out with my friends at cafés. Time flies by when I'm chatting with them, no matter the weather or the beverage temperature.

Education

I am currently studying Bachelor of Computer Science at Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Chihuahua, with a projected graduation date of June 2024.
